The Doctors in this Practice are on the Obstetric List and, together with the Community Midwife, provide full maternity

services, ante natal & postnatal consultations, including home delivery, where appropriate.

A comprehensive family planning service is provided, including the fitting of coils.

Our aim is to keep our patients fit and healthy. Prevention is far better than cure, and many serious conditions can be prevented by a healthy lifestyle. Appointments for the following health conditions and reasons can be made through the reception staff.

Travel Vaccinations (PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST TEN WEEKS PRIOR TO TRAVEL)

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements.  This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make the initial appointment as early as possible  - at least 10 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Non NHS Examinations

Medical Examinations for special purposes i.e. elderly drivers, pre-employment, fitness for certain sports (eg: Racing Car, Diving, etc), HGV, taxi medicals, etc., are done outside consulting hours.

 

Dr O'Neill is also able to provide Diving (HSE Approved and Recreational Diving Certificates) and Aviation Medicals (non commercial). Dr O'Neill is able to provide Offshore Medicals (UKOOA and Norwegian - only at present).

 

All these medical examinations can be arranged either through Reception or email (reception.d82103@nhs.net) who will advise you of availability, prices and paperwork required.
